The Earthquaker Devices Westwood is described as a "translucent" overdrive, which means while not absolutely transparent, it still retains most of your original bass's tone. I built this one in a sparkle green/blue 1590B with an etched top panel. It can go from nearly fully clean to a heavy OD and even into distortion. I think that it's a very nice sounding pedal for bass with its treble and bass controls giving you a wide range of tonal adjustment.
