1968 Ovation Typhoon short scale hollowbody bass. 100% original. These awesome, little known rare basses are a great alternative to vintage Hofners and Gibson EB2D's at a fraction of the price. The complete body, pickups, bridge pots etc were made by Hofner in Germany, then shipped to the USA where Ovation made and installed the neck with Schaller keys and offered it under the Ovation brand. The body's original cherry finish in nitro is worn and checked adds to its vintage vibe. The one piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard is arrow straight with low action and plays great.
