The Systech Ocerdrive was introduced in 1975 and I purchase one brand new back then. They are becoming quite rare to come by. Original units are selling for as much as $599! (which IMO, is a liitle overpriced). The original is basically a single band sweepable equalizer that achieves a cocked wah type of sound distortion, and they do sound quite good. My version is an exact clone of one but with an added BAX tonestack (treble and bass controls) which in my opion mkes it much more versatile. With treble and bass at 12 o'clock, it sounds identical to my original. They came in a very large aluminum enclosure (see pic of the original below), but my verison comes in a 1590B2 (same outer dimensions as a 1590B but 4mm taller) with all top jacks, and with a relayed true bypass. I use all high grade WIma capacitors and Lumberg jacks to save pedalboard space.
