I have been getting quite a few requests to build a pedal that is the same preamp circuit in a Mutron III envelope filter. This is JUST the preamp section and it makes a very nice booster. This booster is nearly flat in its tonal response when at unity gain, but as you turn up the gain, it starts to roll of the top end while boosting the low end. It is a very fat and punchy sounding booster at any setting. It runs on a standard 9V (only) negative center 2.1mm power supply (i.e. Boss, 1spot etc.) and has an internal voltage inverter so the circuit runs on a bipolar 9V supply just like the original. Due to time constraints, I'm only going to buil;d a few of these (3 standards and one with a relayed true bypass).
I make two verisons. One with a standard, clickable true bypass, and the other with a relayed true bypass with soft touch stomp switch.
