As many of you already know, Frank Appleton from fealabs.com makes some awesome pedals. This one was created on the talkbass forum using the actual GK 800RB schematic as a starting point, and then tweaked to turn it into a pedal to accurately produce the famous " GK running on the rails tone" in pedal form. It's capable of being a high gain clean boost, an overdrive, or a heavy distortion pedal. It's dynamics are very amp-like at the lower gain settings and is very punchy. It's controls consist of an input level , a master output, a boost level and a 3 way hi-cut filter.
I built and sold a few of my first run of them back in 2015. That version came in a horizontally mounted a 1590B enclosure with side jacks. My new version comes in a 1590BB (see pics) with all top jacks. IMO, this version, although in a larger enclosure gives me more room to mount everything. Due to the fact that some of the components are now unavailable, I am only going to offer TWO of this version for sale.
