The Fuzz Bass is a modified Fuzz Face using a three silicon transistor circuit as opposed to the original's two. It was designed to be able to go from a clean boost (and capable of a lot of boost!), to a mild OD, all the way to a heavy fuzz, yet is VERY simple to dial in. The "PRE" control allows you to use very high output basses and still not enter any OD or fuzz should you want to run it that way. You get into the many variations of OD and fuzz by adjusting the "Pre" and "Fuzz" controls. These controls also slightly vary the tone and brightness of the distortion.
This pedal comes in an etched, satin finished 1590B with all top jacks and a standard true bypass. My pedals are completely hand-made, including the designing & etching of my own PCBs & enclosures. I make them in very limited quantities making them a truly boutique pedal. Nothing is farmed out.
