After responding to a couple of requests on the talkbass forum to build a Peavey Centurion preamp in pedal form I decided to build one using the factory schematic. It is the exact same preamp circuit running at the same voltages as the original amp. It has a new regulated circuit in it to convert 9 volts to a +&-15 volts bipolar supply, so it runs on a standard Onespot 9 volt power supply. Due to it being a very complicated circuit, I am only going to offer ONE MORE for sale. It features a Pre-gain control (that will go from clean to heavily overdrven), Low and High (treble & bass), a parametric middle control that ranges form 150hz to 1.5Khz with a variable slope (bandwith) and a "mode" control (15db of cut and boost with a center detent (flat) and finally a "Post Gain" control which is a master volume. It's a great sounding pedal with a crisp top end and TONS of low end. If you dig the sound of these vintage amps like I do, then this pedal is for you. This is a completely hand made pedal that isn't available anywhere else. It has all top jacks with etched and tin plated PCBs that I designed and etched myself.
With it's new regulated charge pump circuit, this is a fairly power hungry pedal, and requires a minimum of 133ma of current (150+ma recommended). Do not power it with any more than a regulated 9 volt power supply (onespot recommended).
