This is my Anvil Bass Distortion and is my favorite bass distortion pedal out of the hundreds of them that I currently own (approx 400-450 of them). It is my "go to" distortion for ALL of my live gigs due to it being capable of having MASSIVE low end. I'm offering this one in a gloss black finish with a manufactured pcb. Both of these changes allow me to offer the same sound but at a reduced price. It also has a relayed true bypass with soft (non clicking) footswitch.
I named this one the "Anvil" because it's the HEAVIEST sounding bass distortion that I've built to date. This one's distortion control has no clean setting (it goes from a mild distortion to massive distortion!), and I personally think that it sounds gorgeous, like a tube amp pushed way past its limit. It has a TON of low end and with its gyrator tone stack is capable of a zillion tones, from midrangy to scooped & from bright to tons of bass and anywhere in between. A Jfet front end feeds dual 4558 opamps and has 5 more transistors for the overall voicing and EQ's of the circuit. It sounds equally great with active or passive basses.
